Chapultepec Park, one of the largest city parks in the world, offers a serene escape from the urban hustle and bustle. Spanning over 2,000 acres, this vast green space is home to beautiful walking paths, artificial lakes, and numerous museums, including the renowned Museo Nacional de Antropología. A highlight of the park is Chapultepec Castle, perched atop a hill and boasting stunning views of the city. We highly recommend getting tickets to visit the castle, as it houses fascinating exhibits on Mexican history and culture. When we were there, unfortunately, the castle was closed due to COVID, but we've heard incredible things about it and can't wait to experience it on our next visit.

Known for its vibrant trajineras (colorfully decorated boats), Xochimilco offers a unique way to appreciate the lush greenery and historical significance of these floating gardens, and get a taste of the Mexican culture. While you leisurely glide along the waterways, you can enjoy traditional music, delicious food from local vendors, and even the company of friendly mariachi bands.
